BALDR AND THE BALDY

an Old Norse love story

My love for Norse history started the same way I imagine yours might have. It started with a brief, childhood interest in Vikings followed by a rekindled interest in adulthood - thanks to the current media exposure. Finally, in 2019 I made the decision to start studying Norse.

Neil Gaiman's book piqued my interest first, the mead of poetry being my favourite story. Fantasy games like Skyrim, Dark Souls and the Witcher series can keep me hooked for months. As I write this I'm listening to an Audible version of Jackson Crawford's Poetic Edda.

I'm constantly learning and trying to find my place amongst the pagan communities on the Internet. You can chat to me via the Hall of the Fallen Instagram page. I try to reply to every DM.

HALL OF THE FALLEN

the love child

It started in the tattoo industry. I was working for a tattoo-style clothing brand, printing t-shirts before going off on my own tangent. 2 years later, the owner of that brand, Dan asked if I wanted to start a project with him.

I had just finished reading Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology and I was constantly chewing Dan's ear off about it. How Odin's warriors were preparing for Ragnarök, an epic final battle of the gods. It's a far more poetic ending than other religious endgames. How can you not fall in love with this story!?

We've both built clothing brands that people love so naturally, that would be our starting point. We opened up for business in March 2021, sold our first t-shirt on the same day and haven't looked back since. The way you've welcomed us has been really humbling.

We've both built clothing brands that people love, so naturally we thought we'd start with clothing. Our doors opened for business in March, we sold our first tee on the same day and haven't looked back since. The way you've welcomed us has been really humbling.
